Thomas G. Currigan, Jr.
Board Chair
Tom is the Director of Community and Local Government Relations for Kaiser Permanente's Colorado region. He joined Kaiser Permanente in 1995. Prior to coming to Kaiser Permanente, Tom was Director of External Affiars for Public Service Company of Colorado.

In his current position, Tom is responsible for strategic community benefit, public health initiatives, consumer relations, and issues involving local and county governments. He also oversees Kaiser Permanente's participation in publicly subsidized programs: Medicaid and Child Health Plan. He has been in the communications and public affairs field for more than 18 years.

Tom has served on the boards of the Colorado Council on Economic Education, the Colorado Ethics in Business Awards and the Lower Downtown Rotary Club. He is currently ont he American Heart Association's 10-state Pacific-Mountain Affiliate board and he served as AHA's Denver Metro board chair in 2003. He also serves on the Samaritan Institute's national board of directors, the board of the Aurora Economic Development Council and the Denver Metro Economic Development Council. He is the Kaiser Permanente representative to the Colorado Association of Funders and the Downtown Denver Partnership Transportation Council. He has served in volunteer committee roles for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts.
